aita for calling out someone for being manipulative towards a trans friend? Names have been changed for privacy reasons and TLDR at the end because this is long.
I (24f) am cis but have had a lot of trans friends (binary, nonbinary, and neopronoun) throughout the years and am very supportive so i take this very seriously. So I met this girl my first year in college (we were 18 at the time) and we became friends. We're polar opposites, she talks a lot and I don't, she parties a lot and I like to do more sophisticated things, she's a typical extrovert basically, and I'm more introverted. Anne (24f) was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I don't know when, she just told me this years ago. I've seen tiktoks about bpd and researched Google about bpd a little so I know all about how they have fave persons and will "mimic" people in the friend group and become clingy, manipulate, etc. I've seen pics of her in high school, noticed that she was a theater kid, she said she was good at acting and even said she thinks her bpd helped with her acting although I'm not sure how, but she said she only joined the theater club because a boy she had a crush on was in theater. That should've been my first red flag but I was naive. She has a degree in something else (not theater) because our second year in college her favorite character in a TV show did a certain job, she got interested in that, and now she also does that as a living. She doesn't talk about her bpd, she's only mentioned it a handful of times. I can count on one hand how many times. And I get it because she said someone once told her people with bpd should be sterilized and not be allowed near children. Which is really messed up and I hate that someone said that.
However on with the situation. One of our friends Mike (25m) is a trans man. We met him four years ago. He's very handsome, broody, introverted, intelligent, great listener, very accepting and understanding, similar to me but opposite to her. Now we didn't know he was trans until two years ago, because I asked him on a date and he turned me down, and when I asked why he told me that he was mostly T4T and only viewed me as a friend. We were like woah you're trans, okay that's cool, etc. He explained that he was lucky enough to get on puberty blockers and transition young etc which is why he passes. I said okay I'm not trans and you're mostly T4T fair enough.
Well last year Anne suddenly tells us that she is trans too. She says she's bigender. She says she is okay with either she her or he him because she feels like a man and a woman at the same time. Some days she's a woman, some days she's a man, and some days she's both, according to her. She says she does not like they them pronouns. Suddenly her and Mike are spending all this extra time together. Last month he confided in me that he thinks he's in love with her, after years of him only seeing her as a friend, and then they started officially dating.
Here's the problem: she has not changed her outward appearance, her name, started any kind of medical stuff, joined any groups, bought a binder etc. We all continue to call her she and her because she fully presents as female and doesn't have a problem with it. Also she's very effeminate in body language, the way she talks, etc. I know technically I could call her a he or a him, too, but she never asks me to or corrects people when they call her she because well technically she is a she too. Mike is the only one who uses he and him pronouns with her as often as she and her, but she has never thanked him. It really feels like she's saying she's trans and then going about her life exactly as a cis woman simply to convince Mike to date her.
First off, Anne and Mike are NOT compatible. She likes to party, smoke weed, talks a lot, I'm not sure how she graduated with such good grades or why she does so well in her job because she is honestly a LOT to handle and I'm saying that as nice as possible. Mike would never touch weed or go to clubs and he says he would be fine staying home while she does those things but how could you trust someone to party while high and not hook up with others? I've seen her make out with five people in one night at a frat party. They also had wildly different childhoods, such as she grew up in a conservative community and doesn't speak to her family, and he grew up in a liberal area and is close with his family. But more importantly she has a history of joining theater because she had a crush on someone in theater (plus she admits she is good at acting, so maybe she is acting now?) and getting a degree and job in a field because a favorite fictional character did that and now this? It feels like she was attracted to him, found out he usually dates other trans people, and found a way to continue being cis but claim to be trans without having to do anything trans related, basically mimicing her favorite person. As soon as they met they hit it off, or should I say she clung to him and pretended to have the same likes and dislikes whenever they were alone I assume.
It sounds terrible I know, which is why I discussed this with a group chat first that neither of them are in, and the group chat not only agreed that she is far too "obnoxious" for him (those were NOT my words!) but that she is faking being trans in an attempt to make him fall in love with her (which seems to be working.) I would NEVER have gone further without making sure with them first. So then a few of the people in my group chat and I held an intervention with Anne alone. The six of us (the others don't live close enough to come) met up with Anne at her place and told her what she was doing was wrong and gross and that she needed to get help for her bpd and to stop catfishing Mike. She didn't take well to what was said, which I anticipated, but she went crazy. She was screaming at us, insulting us, sobbing while yelling etc, literally said if we ever contacted her again she would call the cops, so we left.
I immediately called Mike before she could and asked him to meet me at a restaurant nearby and that it was very important. Since Mike doesn't know anyone in the group chat I went alone and I explained EVERYTHING before she could gaslight and manipulate him even further. He left, did not finish or pay for his food. I messaged him several times, but a few hours later he texted me to never to speak to him again, and then blocked me on everything. I showed up to his house and Anne was there. Mike said if I ever contacted him again he would get a restraining order on me so I left. I've discussed this with the group chat and now suddenly half of them changed their mind and don't want to talk about it anymore. Several of them left the group chat. Not only that but several of my friends who know either Mike or Anne or both have blocked me on everything. When I've tried to contact these friends through other means and explain everything, they either didn't respond or said for me never to contact them again because I was being transphobic. Listen I know under NORMAL circumstances you shouldn't question when someone comes out but this is NOT a normal situation, and now I am concerned Anne is unsafe for Mike but also an unsafe person to know, as she literally is trying to destroy my life because I called her out on some seriously messed up and abusive behavior.
TLDR am I the asshole for trying to protect my trans friend from a potential stalker?
What are these acronyms?

"cringe culture" is being very directed at trans youth in a time when being an openly trans young person is also genuinely dangerous in a number of places. every time you open your mouth to say something like "queer people are fine, but neopronouns…", know that you’re being transphobic. or "i’m gay but i’m not like, weird" or "i’m trans but these teenagers are giving us a bad rep lol"… just remember that bigots don’t care how "normal" you are, they don’t care whether or not you dye your hair or if you have a pronoun pin or any of that shit. they hate all of us. they want you to make it normalised to hate on trans people. they want you to see trans ppl as different to you. they want you to think that trans kids are not smart or old enough to see what’s best for them. conservatives don’t need you to be an outright bigot too, they just need you to not do anything about them having their health care taken away. they need you to be too embarrassed to tell off your friend when they say those trans people are freaky. they need you to be comfortable with bullying - because that’s what it is, harassment and bullying - some random transgender teenager on tiktok. they need you to double that energy against neurodivergent trans people, disabled trans people, and trans POC (particularly those whose gender is related to their culture). all of this helps in establishing the concept that transness is a choice, is a phase, is a mental illness, is weird, is predatory, is pathetic, is backwards, is childish, is ridiculous, is "other" - so that dehumanisation is acceptable. don’t fall into this trap. you don’t need to think that every trans person is cool and fun and your best friend. you just need to remember to stick up for your community. unite with your trans siblings. protect trans kids. the well-being of trans people is more important than being seen as cool.

Hi! I wanted to share a cool interaction that happened today
Me: *just chilling, standing there on the bus*
Random person across from me: hey, if you don't mind me asking, what's that pin?
Me: oh, it's a pronoun pin
Person: what does it say?
Me: it has multiple pronouns so I can change between them. These ones are neopronouns
Person: neopronoun? What does that mean?
Me: they're pronouns that have been invented more recently than he or she or they. Neo means new, so they're just... New pronouns. People made them to better describe their gender
Person: oh yeah I've heard of that! So that one.. x e ... Is that pronounced "zee"?
Me: yeah, it is!
Person: so like you change between neopronouns depending on how you feel each day?
Me: yeah, exactly
Person: that's cool! By the way, I'm (name) and this is my wife (name)
Wife: hi
Me: nice to meet you
Person: thank you for explaining that by the way
Me: thank you for asking so nicely, most people people aren't so accepting of this stuff
I know some people really don't like getting constantly asked questions, but I personally am fine with it as long as they're polite about it. Also people normally don't respect my pronouns so I like that this person seemed genuinely interested and seemed to think the idea of neopronouns is cool and a great idea, as opposed to saying "that's weird and I don't get it but I guess people can do whatever they want"
Also here's a picture of the pronoun pin in question
Tumblr media
I’m glad it went well for you, and that’s a lovely pin!

Follow up on Bill gender: Bill and Mable's gender conversation implied that one could have a number-of-sides identity which might not be reflected by your... assigned shape? This analogy is breaking down. To the question: Do you think that was true in his real life home dimension, or just something he was chill about on a whim? Will it ever come up in the fic?
Yeah, there were trans shapes. Bill is one of them! Like I'm calling him "triangle" for simplicity but really it's pyramid which is like 4/5 triangle and 1/5 square simultaneously in a higher-dimensional way, but like also he's been calling himself a spherical triangle for literally a trillion years and he's still kinda loyal to that identity because he's only been thinking of himself as a pyramid for 4000-odd years, and spherical triangle captures some of the experience of being 2D in a 3D way but not all of the experience and it leaves out the squareness so pyramid's more accurate but "pyramid" doesn't reflect the whole "grew up with psychic powers" experience and Bill thinks being psychic is an important part of his gender identity still so like he's wondering whether fourth-dimensional hyperspherical pyramid is the best fit, but he doesn't FEEL 4D, he feels 2D in a 3D way—you know what, you know what, it's complicated, you're just a human, you can call him a triangle, it's fine, it's close enough, really, he's somewhere under the triangle umbrella, it's fine, don't worry about it, really don't worry about it, it's cool, he's cool with it.
Hectorgon decided somewhere along the way that he didn't feel like a 2D hexagon anymore and got some work done and is a 3D hexagonal prism now and is content with it. Amorphous Shape has stuff going on with them Bill can't even beGIN to make sense of but sometimes they look like a bunch of squares and sometimes they look like a bunch of other polygons and everyone just nods and goes with it, and tbh naming yourself Amorphous Shape is sort of like renaming yourself Genderfluid Human and then all your friends nickname you Derf. Bill's dad was intersex in one direction and picked up a trans-ish gender presentation in a totally different direction. As a child Bill met another spherical shape that looked like a line in the second dimension but in the third dimension was a polygon—a biangle—struggling to get that recognized as an actual sex.
And all this is like, the shape equivalent of having a gender that can't be described with anything less than five terms and a freshly-baked set of new neopronouns. There were also more conventional trans identities—assigned squares who wanted to be seen as lines, triangles who wanted to be seen as pentagons, hexagons that were sometimes hexagons and sometimes octagons, septagons that felt sideless, etc.
Bill's stance on all this since he was equivalent-to-a-teen has been Anybody Can Do Anything They Want Forever.
He got in fights with his dad about whether including biangles when greeting his audiences—"Welcome, lines, bis, and tris; quads, quints, and more"—would alienate the Traditional Members Of The Audience.
I don't know how much of all of the above will ever actually make it into the fic aside from discussing biangles.

hi i've never asked here before but i love sparklecare and all the other comics i keep seeing snippets of, so i'm also putting my discovery syory here :3
found out about it mthrough a quotev quiz that was like "which patient would be your friend" or something like that, and the artstyle really intrigued me so i started reading (the creator linked the website). i think i might've caught it just before or just after the 2nd volume started? but its had me hooked ever since
i love the amount of trans/general queer rep (AND OTHERKIN REP WITH FLIPPING HOWIE?!?! I WASN'T EXPECTING HOW MUCH I'D LOVE THAT AS A THERIAN/OTHERKIN), the way its written and how everything is portrayed (literally wanna beat up every civilian who doesn't believe the escaped patients + wring out cuddles like a filthy towel. that's good writing) and how you, the creator themselves needs to have ALL the ships and not just one. i feel that way too hard
can't wait for the revamp and the next volume, you're freaking cool as shit, stay silly :3
ANOTHER REALLY INTERESTING REACH, i've seen those quizzes before i think (or at least ones similar) and it's so cool that you found it and were hooked after checking it out!!!
i don't do stuff for the purpose of giving things "rep" but i try to be inclusive as much as i can without forcing things, i feel like it's important for stuff like otherkin to be normalized as well. stuff like xenogenders and neopronouns and being objectum or even the entire worldbuilding surrounding polyamorous relationships, all this stuff is personal to me because it's coming from my real life. i am everything i just listed there. i want to see people like me in my own characters, i've said before that a lot of the comic's contents come from me personally, especially in the AUs. for the main comic the projection is more situational, in cometcare/DM the projection is more direct and explicit from myself as a person.
i love shipping everything imaginable. i am playing touys. i love shipping it's nonsensical and fun and there's no harm in any of it
hope you'll enjoy the new site and v5 when they're released!!! :D

I dunno if this is stupid but i don’t really like the trans rep in SparkleCare/CometCare. Like, theres no transphobia (or sexism, i dont think gender roles as we know them exist either) and a lack of internal sex organs. At least the uterus. Which, for me personally, are pretty important parts of being trans. Obviously a character could be trans without that stuff, but no human on earth is.
We don’t really see any characters transitioning either? Like, we see Uni before she transitions and after, but not really the in between. This goes for most trans characters i think? You don’t have time transition at all to be trans, I don’t want to come across as if thats what im saying, but for a lot of people its pretty important.
It leaves trans rep feeling detached from this world, and it feels more of an accessory- and thats fine! I’m sure a lot of people could enjoy and take comfort in the universe Kc has created, but its so dissimilar to what we on Earth experience that it doesn’t feel very relatable. Its fine for what it is, but its not a very good representation of transness, i guess, and i think almost any other depiction of it rings closer home.
Yeah i dont know if this makes sense or if im just a selfcentered asshole but hey🤗
- 🃏 (Joker Anon >:3)
Hello! Welcome to the blog!
You aren't a self-centered asshole, because this is an issue not just in SC and/or CC, but everywhere in media where there are trans characters.
We always see the before and after, but what about the middle? Never, at least I haven't seen any so far, and I wish we could see the actual representation of transitioning of an character becoming this gender to this gender, you know?
Also, I agree, I wish in the future we see Uni's starting to transition, and seeing the slow progress of her becoming feminine.
Not just Uni, but any other character as well who transition!
However! I'm glad KC is adding characters with neopronouns now, and giving them xenogenders as well! I think that's really cool.
Oh and making some characters trans in different ways, like how Barry doesn't take testosterone but he got top surgery, or how Marco takes T but didn't get top surgery because he doesn't have body dysphoria!
However I wish we could see nondysphoric transfems/trans women in SC/CC :/ I haven't noticed one yet (unless I'm blind lol).

Kwazii or maybe zim for the character asks??
I'm going with Kwazii, but if u want me to answer Zim then you can send me another ask!!! :D
Sexuality headcanon: Bi and quoisexual (maybe?)
Gender headcanon: Transmasc. The creators of the Octonauts (ahem ahem Vicki was the one who said that if I remember correctly but idk) said he doesn't care about how he's perceived, so I'm going with that too. Actually, I think he doesn't care abt gender that much, he just wants to have fun. Also, he/any pronouns!!! I hc that he really likes neopronouns too-
A ship I have with said character: Kwazii reminds me a lot of that one Yu-Gi-Oh parody video where one of the characters said: "For the last time, I'm dating A MOTORCYCLE". I like to think he says that when people ask who he's dating, but instead of a motorcycle, it's the Gup-B. (My mom actually gave me this idea thank you mom)
"Yeah, but Lune, who do you ship Kwazii with?" With the Gup-B isn't it obvious- /j this is a joke THIS IS A JOKE EVERYONE
A BROTP I have with said character: I really like the dynamic between Tweak and Kwazii, so yeah, I think they're my BROTP! I genuinely get all giddy and happy when they get portrayed as siblings, I freaking love them!
A NOTP I have with said character: Don't kill me plz but I don't like Kwazini all that much... People who ship them are cool tho! <3
A random headcanon: I headcanon that for some reason he can't swallow pills. He just can't. He's unable to. Oh, and I also headcanon that he hates being sick because staying in bed all day to rest is like torture for him.
General opinion over said character: He's my favorite character from the show I want to hug him I want to pet him AAAA Idk I just love him a lot he's my son 😭💞

When I first heard about the concept of neopronouns, I was like, I don't think I really get it. But I was also almost instantly like, maybe e/im/is would be cool. Like, he/him but without the h. But I don't really know why? At the time I was kind of like, I like the idea of being he/him in the way that a dog or a star wars droid is called he/him, and that e/im would represent that somehow. But I don't even think I like that we tend to assign non gendered things we can relate to masculine gender, so why would I want that for myself? Masculine gender is "genderless" in a similar way to how white people are "raceless," it is default. Also, it feels like it would be kind of dumb to ask people to call me something so similar to my assigned pronouns, and also in a lot of accents including my own, he/him pronouns are often pronounced without the /h/ sound when they are unstressed anyways. And also also, I'm sort of not really trans or nonbinary or anything maybe. Idk I just feel like it's kind of weird that I felt like they would be cool so naturally, so quickly, but when I think about it at all it seems pretty dumb.
I think sometimes it is worth trying the things you want to do even if you think they’re dumb. And I think the neopronouns are cool

I don't think it's necessarily "outdated" consider negative implications of it/it's for the Witness--it's about the context of it being an enemy of humanity, something to be fought and beaten and probably destroyed to prevent it from continuing to try to harm us that makes brings up the questions about if there was any un-personing intended in the choice of pronoun use. It's all about the context of it. Do any of our allies also use it/it's? I can't really think of any off the top of my head... There's something about our Big Enemy We Must Destroy being it/it's while enemies that have also become allies over time (or even other enemies we slew) remaining having pronouns that haven't historically been used to strip personhood. (There's also a world of difference between somebody reclaiming it/it's for itself and being assigned it/it's by people who don't like it)
Oh, that makes a lot more sense to me now!
Unfortunately we don't know if the Witness likes it, or even knows or cares. I think it would be interesting to explore more about it in TFS and possibly to get some extra insight into its actual thoughts (because we really don't know a lot given its manipulative nature). Not just for pronoun reasons, but overall to see how the Witness views our perception of it (if it has any views of it at all).
With the context you're thinking of, yeah I can see that. I'd like for more cool pronoun stuff with our allies. There are plenty of options to go into it; obviously there's aliens with different concepts of gender, but I would also like for this to be added to human characters as well, and not just aliens. As cool as exploring weird alien genders is, I think there should also be human characters to relate to.
Neomuni are a good option for that, as they've already explored some of it. Obviously there's Nimbus, but I really like how casually and easily gender fluidity was presented in this lore tab. The character just switches pronouns between she/her to he/him and the text doesn't make a huge thing out of it; this is normal to Neomuni. I would like to see more of it, and more representation like that for other pronouns and neopronouns for sure.

Aita for not making any of my characters, that I have to crank out daily, pansexual/polysexual/omnisexual specifically and only making them bi?
🏳️‍🌈👶🏼 so i can recognize this later lmao also I'm not panphobic or anything, this isn't about the validity of the label, pan is fine.
So i (20snb bi) have a project I'm working on where I take all the characters from a specifc media I'm into and pair them up with each other to make every possible ship kid from every possible ship(excluding characters who are kids themselves or are related or something, that shit is gross). Basically taking every character and pairing them up with another and creating a kid I think they'd have. Its a big project with lots of characters and I'm easily over 400 at this point. I really enjoy this, even if I'm not even 25% complete.
However I set a schedule for myself that at least one ship kid needs to come out each day which, considering I draw them, color them and give them some development and some even have siblings, (The refs themselves easily take me an hour to an hour and a half) I have to make lots of them quickly to keep up with my daily grind. I've been doing this project for over a year and although it's stressful, I can get them out quickly with breaks for myself.
Their character sheets all have some pretty basic info like their name, gender, pronouns, personality and more but it also includes their sexuality/orientation. I have a pretty basic list of options for what their sexuality will be: straight, lesbian, gay, Enbian, bi, Aro, ace and aroace with a few random things like polyam, WLW and a good amount of the something-loving-something/juvelic terms. I did this because, well, there's not many entirely unique orientations outside of them and although I love mogai/xenogenders and complex identities, I dont want to potentially drag up discourse or bring problems to my budding art blog over it. Its just not worth it to me to turn something I really care about on its head, even if I like microlabels.
In this case, I'm using bi as an umbrella term as most of the other terms share the same definition with slight variations in wording or action but not much difference in practice. We all like everyone, it's basic stuff. However, apparently this is a problem.
I've gotten one or two anons asking me questions about my guides asking some kind stuff like is this lesbian ship kid a butch or femme or Is this picture of them now or just at the age you put on the ref and other harmless stuff. Then things got rude with some Nbphobia but thrice now I've gotten asks:
1. Asking snarkily if im a panphobe
2. insulting me for not specifically writing pan or Omni and just writing bi.
3. Saying that I "clearly dont care about pansexual representation." Then brought up how my primary oc is native american so i clearly care about representation but that oc used to be a sona and I'm native?? Its confusing. (And Lowkey racist shit to just assume any native character is a "diversity quota" character instead of just a person existing but I digress-)
Im not pan, im bi so ig these people assume I'm not cool with pan people which isnt true? I have nothing aginest them, they are just pretty similar and I dont feel like it matters if they are specfically bi or pan or poly or any other label. I don't go into details like that for any other sub-group, not even pronouns and I included combinations and some common Neopronouns. I understand the importance of representation but my project has less than 50 people looking at it every day, Im not netflix or something. I'm one guy on the most LGBT blogging site with a big project and very little audience, I'm not showing people who wouldn't already know what pan is that pansexuality exists.
This project isn't that deep considering the characters in question aren't human/dont have human characteristics.(no it's not hazbin/helluva) Also ive never spoken about lgbt discourse or stated anything remotely close to it beyond the guides just passively having characters who are an LGBT identity. I've not even mentioned all the potentional orientations they could have so I'm not sure where/why this came up in the first place. The most politcial things ive said are calling out a creator in my fandom who outed themselves as a transphobe and mentioning im pro-palestine. That's it.
I mean this is pretty low stakes, I can just block these people and be done with it and this some seriously online shit but I just wanna check.
Am I being an asshole for just writing bi instead of specifying their mspec label because I have to produce characters quickly and I don't see enough of a difference to warrant a change/specification that would ultimately slow and clog an already stressful and complex project?
I dont think I am but idk lol
What are these acronyms?

PLEASSEEE YAP ABT YOUR OCS. Use this ask as an excuse🙏🙏
GOOD MORNING!! This ask has been sitting here for a while whoops.... Anyways!! Here's the OC I've been wanting to answer this ask with. Pickle Cheesecake Cookie!!
Tumblr media
Pickle Cheesecake (PC for short) is Androgyne, using He/She/Xey/Zem. She also uses any science-related neopronouns that anyone thinks of to use for her.
PC is a mad scientist who creates various kinds of inventions similar to uwo_labs or Doctor Doofenshmirtz. Though life improvement is a goal he has in mind- being able to unlock the inner magical abilities that he thinks he has is the top priority (he doesn't have any, unfortunately).
Raised in a cult without a father figure, PC was very attached to xeir mother. Xey were a bastard child, with the other parent being from someone outside the cult landing xem and xeir mother in hot water. Not only that, but the cult despised PC even MORE considering xey didn't inherit any magical abilities.
Xey were continuously pushed into trying to cast spells or do anything that's worthy of a continued life. Unfortunately, no magic was ever found in PC's dough, and as punishment to both the child and mother the cult decided to crumble the mother with PC watching before kicking PC out onto the streets at a young age.
PC eventually found an abandoned building to make her home in, in a thick forest not too far from the borders of Parfaedia. The skills that she learned in trying to fix up the place led to an interest in tinkering. :] And since she was never really taught about what you should and shouldn't do, should and shouldn't make... That led to some wild things being created!!
And due to throwing caution into the wind, PC will handle things that a person normally wouldn't go near. One of those things being radioactive material!! PC has a pet rock that powers the building that's just a chunk of Uranium. If you were to put a Geiger counter next to PC, it would have an incredibly high tick rate. She is radioactive <3
PC is friends with Nemesia, an OC belonging to @vnillatree!! PC gets into shenanigans and Nemesia usually has to look on in worry and horror.
This radioactive miscreant has a HUUUUGE crush on Butter Roll it's not even funny. PC is already a mess when it comes to interacting with others, but when it comes to Butter Roll??? He absolutely loses his mind trying to be cool and endearing. Butter Roll is unaware of this crushing and just thinks that's how PC is.
PC calls his creations his "inators". This started as a joke but that's just how he is now. The things that he makes are... interesting, to say the least.
She has tension with Almond since she doesn't have any licenses or permits for anything that she does. She doesn't even have an ID or anything since she was never really taught anything about the legal system or... most things, really.
The reason why PC has slit pupils is unknown, but it might have something to do with his radioactivity! The same reasoning can be applied to why he has fangs.
PC has a stutter and tends to ramble with his words!! The more worked up he is, the worse the stuttering and rambling is.
Her hair is incredibly greasy... It would take an intense deep cleanse to clean her up properly. It's very hard for her to take care of herself due to wanting to make progress on her inventions for the sake of unlocking her missing magic abilities.
More of a design quirk rather than anything related to PC zemself, zeir goggles are expressive! When zey're wearing them, they can express themselves like normal eyes do, with the spirals acting as strange pupils.

Hello! This is my (@movie-plush-baby) fictoromantic/selfship blog for Timekeeper Cookie and Croissant Cookie! Here I’ll be putting most of my art and gushing from now on.
DNI or follow if you’re proship, comship, or neutral. I do not want to interact with you.
While I take me and Croissant and Timekeeper’s relationship seriously, I am okay with dupes and ships. To me, that’s a different version of Croissy and Timey.
I also ship Croisstime. We’re all in a polyamorous relationship and this is a very big part of our relationship. If you aren’t comfortable with Croisstime please keep that in mind.

- I kin Coffee Candy Cookie! My self-insert is a kinsona version of her named Ginger Candy Cookie, based off of my fursona. If you see a weird lookin’ Coffee Candy with cat features and three eyes, that’s me.
- I’m lesbian and use xenogenders and neopronouns.
- My favorite Cookie Run characters are:
Croissant and Timekeeper (They both get first!! I couldn’t put one lower than the other that would be mean :()

ABOUT US
- Me and Timekeeper have been together for roughly 5 or so months, while me and Croissant have been together for 4.
- I am a committed fictosexual/fictoromantic, and I think the term for that might be “waifuist” but I don’t really like the term (and r/waifuism is dumb anyways. They don’t allow poly. Cowardsssss.)
- Here’s a little ship template I filled out!
Tumblr media
Thank you for reading :D! My tags for them will be these (although I’m probably going to just put them in the same posts anyways)
“#🕰️timey” for Timekeeper
“#🥐croissy” for Croissant

Alright, after running this blog for over a year I've decided to make an actual pinned post—complete with a guide to my tagging system.
First off, who am I?
I am the sole moderator of dinosquad-central, obviously. You may call me Dino Mod, and I use any pronouns, including neopronouns that do not begin with x or z.
My Favorite characters are Caruso and Buzz. I don't actually know that much about dinosaurs in general; I just think they're neat. I'm the event coordinator on the Dino Squad discord server. And I love getting asks! (Although sometimes it takes me a day or two to answer them)
I tag posts with #dino mod to indicate that they are either original posts from me, or things I've reblogged wherein I added something to the body of the post, rather than just the tags. So if you want to browse my thoughts on the show, that's the tag to do it.
Now that you know who I am, what's Dino Squad and where can you watch it?
Dino Squad is a 2007 cartoon about five teenagers who can turn into dinosaurs, and you can watch it for free on YouTube. The first episode is called "The Beginning", but the series is episodic, so the order you watch doesn't really matter after that. If you want to watch in in order, there's an episode list on IMDB.
In the immortal words of my original pinned post, reblogged from @/deerlyloved: "Dinosquad is so bad please watch it forever 😌"
If you already know Dino Squad and want to hang out with other fans, we have a discord server! Anyone is welcome to join.
Is there anything else you should know?
Yeah, a couple of things, actually. But this is already getting long, so I'll continue under the readmore.
Firstly, I need to give credit where credit is due, and make sure y'all know that the person who made the banner I use for this blog, which is also the quintessential "there's like five of us" dinosquad fandom meme, is @scoutbot. Everyone say "thank you, scoutbot!"
My profile pic, on the other hand, is lifted from official Dino Squad promotional material, but if anyone wants to draw me a new one, I'd be willing to trade you a fic for it—DM me if interested.
Secondly, there's one type of tag I don’t list in the tag guide, and that's the type I use to fawn all over everybody's Dino Squad posts. In such a small fandom, every time someone makes something new for it, they do so knowing it won't get much engagement, so I want to make sure they get at least one person who with enthusiastically give a kind, thoughtful, personalized comment on their post. Creating for a small fandom can feel thankless, but I want to mitigate that as much as possible by saying thank you thank you thank you for hanging out with us and participating in our fandom.
I'll mention it a few times in this post, but as long as you tag a post with #dino squad (as one word or two) I am basically guaranteed to see it, and I'll reblog almost anything in this fandom. So if you want more of the stuff you like, I strongly encourage you to create it! I love to see new takes and new faces in this fandom, and I will always lift you up.
I think that’s it.
Wait, didn't I say something about a tagging guide?
Buckle in, because my tagging system is extensive and thorough.
Lets start with Basic Tags.
Every post about the show (which is 99% of what I post, since this is a Dino Squad blog) is tagged with both #dino squad (two words) and #dinosquad (one word).
In most other tags that feature the name of the show, I use the one word version, for consistency. More on that later.
Posts that are not about the show, usually either dinosaur/paleontology related posts, or occasionally technical information about this blog itself, are tagged with #not dinosquad. For cool dino fun facts and art, this is the tag to explore.
Every post on this blog contains at least one of these tags.
Next, how about some Character Tags.
Whenever a character is mentioned or very strongly implied in a post, I tag it with their full name, similar to AO3's character tags. You can follow any of these links to read every post featuring that character.
#Victor Veloci—That's his name, don't wear it out!
#Joanne Moynihan—AKA Ms. Moynihan, beloved mentor of the squad
#Rolf Maxwell—AKA Max, the squad's fearless leader
#Fiona Flagstaff—The Girl™
#Rodger Blair—Smartest kid in school
#Neil Buzzmati—AKA Buzz, the one who likes "punk stuff"
#Erwin Caruso—Yeah, his first name is Erwin
#Peter (Veloci's Assistant)—Remember him? Appears once in the first episode and never again?
#Rump (dinosquad)—The squad's pet dino-dog
#Liam (dinosquad)—Fan favorite autistic character
#Terri Flagstaff—Fiona's sister
#Winifred the Snake—Buzz's pet python
Obviously, some of these characters are going to have more posts in their tag than others, simply because people like and post about some characters more than others. If you want more post about your favorite character, Make Them. As long as you tag your posts with the fandom, I can basically guarantee I'll find them and reblog them to this blog.
That's not all, though, because there are also a lot of original fandom characters, and I tag for those, too.
If you want to see all of them, I use the tag #dinosquad oc on every post that features one, but I also tag them with the OC's name, in case you're curious about a specific one.
#Vega Veloci—Teenage transfem lesbian clone of Victor Veloci, created by @prometheus-adam
#Violette Veloci—Another female teenage clone of Vitor Veloci (though which one of them is trans is left to interpretation), created by @ufolvr
#Valentino Veloci—Male teenage clone of Victor Veloci, created by @al-gay-tor
#Iggy and Chloe—A pair of OCs by @musekicker who will be given individual tags when they have full names
#Gyrian Maelstrom—Buzz's dad who works for RaptorDyne and is also a dinosaur, created by @ufolvr
#Moss 'Rat King'—RaptorDyne employee self-insert, created by @hotratking5592
#Thysbe Ginko—RaptorDyne employee favored by Victor Veloci, created by @boysiinberry
#Miss Disma and Mouche—Head of PR at Raptordyne and her assistant, created by @boysiinberry
#Kalyeen—Raptordyne grunt, created by @boysiinberry
A lot of people seem to think that Veloci would be into cloning—can't say I would argue with them lol. On the discord server, people have shared way more OCs than this, but I can only reblog the ones that get posted about on tumblr. I anticipate this list will grow.
Ship Tags are a subset of character tags
Like with characters, if a ship is explicitly mentioned or strongly implied in a post, I will tag it with a ship tag in the format of characterA x characterB where A is the character whose surname comes first alphabetically. Posts about ships are also tagged with #Shipping.
#Rodger x Max—Those who like this ship often cite S1E2 "Growth Potential" as one reason
#Buzz x Caruso—Those who like this ship have cited S1E12 "Not so Great Outdoors" as one reason
#Moynihan x Veloci—A ship that is much more popular on the discord server than on tumblr
#Peter x Veloci—Remember Peter? Appears once in the first episode and then never again?
#Fiona x Vega—Ship between Fiona and @prometheus-adam's OC, Vega Veloci
#Caruso x Max—Those who like this ship have cited S2E10 "Scents and Scents Ability" as one reason
#Ginko x Veloci—Ship between Victor Veloci and @boysiinberry's OC, Thysbe Ginko
Most of the ship tags are pretty lightly populated, some only have one post. Suffice it to say, shippers are a minority in this fandom, but I still dutifully tag ships when they appear. If you want to see more of your fave ships, or have an idea for a ship not on this list, Create for it! I will happily reblog any ship for this fandom.
Now, let me tell you about my Categorical Tags
If you're looking for a specific type of post, for example, if you just want to scroll through all the headcanon posts, or all the fanart, that's what the categorical tags are for. These tags are usually accompanied by the word 'dinosquad' somewhere in there, and many of them are listed as featured tags on this blog as well.
#Ask—Someone sent me an ask to which I decided to post a public reply
#Character Analysis—These posts will always be tagged with the character being analyzed as well
#Crossover—These posts will always be tagged with both the other fandom in the crossover, and the primary character(s) from the other fandom that feature in the crossover
#Dinosquad AU—Posts about the Dino Squad characters or concepts in an alternate universe, whether it's completely different, or just minor canon divergence
#Dinosquad Fanart—Also tagged with #art and #fanart, in addition to the fandom specific tag
#Dinosquad Fic—Fan writing, typically, but not always, in the form of a link to Archive of Our Own
#Dinosquad Headcanons—Posts containing either a single headcanon, or a list of headcanons regarding the characters or world of the show
#Dinosquad Meta—Posts about the technical aspects of the show, like animation or writing, as opposed to the plot/characters/etc.
#Dinosquad Theory—Theories about the show, both in regard to the plot/characters, and the production (but usually the former)
#Episode Review—Posts in which a specific episode of the show is being analyzed, summarized, or otherwise reviewed
#Incorrect Dinosquad—Also tagged with #incorrect quotes, in addition to the fandom specific tag
#Poll—Posts that have at least one poll in them
#Prompt—Idea(s) meant to inspire the creativity of the members of this fandom. General prompts are distinct from the Dinosquad Monthly Prompts in that anyone can post them at any time. (more on the monthly prompts later)
#Rereblog—Posts that have been on this blog before but I'm reblogging again, either because something new has been added to them, or because there was nothing new for me to post, so I picked some old favorites to pad my queue. This tag stands in the place of all the things I originally tagged the post with, so when I use it I'll only add tags that apply to the new reblog
Most of these tags are self explanatory. Many have sub-categorical tags, which I've included either in the descriptions above, or in the Content Tags section.
After that come the Content Tags
Content tags tell you what's in the post, aside from characters, obviously.
#From the Dinosquad Discord Server—Posts containing content which was screen-shot or copy/pasted from the fandom discord server
#Dinosquad Monthly Prompt—The monthly prompts are part of an ongoing, year-round event hosted by the fandom discord server. Posts in this tag include not only the monthly prompts themselves, but also art and fic created to fill the monthly prompt. Members of the fandom server can DM me on discord to suggest prompts.
#Dinosquad Secret Santa 2022—We did a fandom holiday gift exchange in 2022 and posts with this tags are the gifts created for it
#Digital Art and #Traditional Art—Two self-explanatory sub-categorical tags for Dino Squad fanart
#Feathered Dino Forms—Posts wherein the characters' dino forms are described as or drawn having feathers
#Overheard at RaptorDyne—Posts about working at RaptorDyne, mostly incorrect quotes.
#Max Gets No Respect—Posts about the squad disrespecting Max, also mostly incorrect quotes
#Morally Gray Ms. Moynihan—Posts talking about the possibility of Ms. Moynihan keeping the kids dinosaurs on purpose, or similar theories/headcanons/AUs/etc.
#Trans Buzz—Posts regarding the popular headcanon that Buzz is a trans man
#LGBT+—Posts containing queer content, such as sexuality/gender identity headcanons for characters
#Trans—Same as above, but for specifically trans-related content
#Screencaps—Posts containing screen captures from the show
#Memes—Posts containing memes either related to the show or otherwise
There are probably a few more character-specific ones that I have forgotten, but I'll keep updating this tag guide continually as needed.
There is no #Gay Caruso tag because... well... Caruso. That would be every post about him lol. Maybe one day I'll go through his character tag and add it to every post where it's relevant but it'll have to wait until I'm really, really bored.
Lastly, I have Warning Tags
I don't really have warning tags for things that were in the show, like I'm not gonna have a warning tag for sharp teeth or carnivorous eating habits, because... well... it's a show about dinosaurs. If you had a problem with that kind of thing, you probably wouldn't be here. I also won't use the CW tags for passing mentions—my thinking is that if something's not really in the post I don't really need to tag for it.
#Cursing—I know most people don't have a problem with explicit language, but this blog is technically for a kids' show, so there it is
#Blood CW—For posts containing depictions or descriptions of blood
#Injury CW—For posts containing depictions or descriptions of one or more injuries
#Death CW—For posts containing depictions or descriptions of death
#Body Horror—For posts containing depictions or descriptions of body horror (excluding dinosaur tranformations)
#Long Post—For posts that are more than two screen-lengths on mobile. I will not tag something as a long post if it has a readmore, unless the part before the readmore is longer than 2 screen-lengths.
If there is anything not on this list you would like me to have a warning tag for, or if there's a post you think should have one of these warnings, but I forgot to add it, just shoot me a DM, or an ask, and 99% of the time, I will gladly add a warning tag.
Well done making it to the end! GOOooo GO DINO!

welcome!!!
im cervine, this is a pronoun and name tryout blog! so you send me an ask with the desired name(s) and pronouns, and ill use them in a paragraph. this blog has the purpose of helping others to figure out which names and/or pronouns fits them best and, most importantly, bring some euphoria!!
read everything before submitting your ask please.
quick about me
you can call me cervine or vine. i am a genderqueer writer and artist. i am an adult. i usually use no pronouns, though im demipronominal and pronounfluid, so i also go by it/antler sometimes (i also fluctuate between feather/shell, but it's not as common). i am unlabeled. english is not my first language.
there is no DNI, just don't be a dick
HOW TO SUBMIT
basically, specify exactly what you want! usually, the more information, the better
what you should state in your ask when submitting:
-> either a name and/or a pronoun. nullpronouns/no pronouns are completely fine, but ill probably need a name for it. i can also do JUST pronouns with no name too, just specify it.
-> please tell me if you'd like separate paragraphs for each pronoun/name suggested, if not ill just use all the info given in the same paragraph.
-> if youd like to make my job easier, tell me about yourself! talk about your interests or hobbies. this will help me to make it more complete and it will possibly resonate with you more! this is optional, though!
-> if you're using neopronouns, id advise writing the entire set (so xe/xem/xyr/xyrs/xemself or even flower/flowers/flowerself for example) otherwise ill just assume what the rest of the set is
that's it!! if you're still not sure, here's two examples below of what your ask can look like and what you'll get in response:
example 1:
ASK: "Hi! My name is Cervine, i want to try out it/its and antler/antlers/antlerself! I like to draw animals and animate, my favorite animals are the anteater and water deers, i also write poetry and im a littlest pet shop collector! I also like pokemon. Both pronouns in the same paragraph, please"
ANSWER: "Hey, yesterday I met Cervine. It told me all about antlers LPS collection, I found this so cool! Antler also mentioned that antler writes poetry, I'd love to read some of its works! Its favorite animals are so interesting too, anteaters are lovely. Antler said something about Pokemon, I wonder who is antlers favorite
example 2
ASK: Hi, I'd like to tryout both the names Domi and Vine, my pronouns are feather/feathers/featherself and shell/shells/shellself, please use two different sentences for each name, but feel free to use the pronouns together or separately.
ANSWER: 1) Have you seen Domi's newest shoes? I think feather bought it featherself! Those shoes are so pretty and colorful, I bet Domi really likes them, they match with shells eyes! Domi definitely has great taste.
2) Are you ready for Vine's party? It's going to be so fun! Knowing Vine, feather will organize everything all by shellself. I think it's a lot of work, but Vine's parties are always the best. I can't wait, I even bought Vine a gift!
That's it! have a good rest of your day <3

Hey so like, I'm never one to stoke the flames as it were, but there is a community-upkept archive of alterhuman posts and writings which I honestly think is a pretty cool project, and I've been aware of it for while, and I've been aware of some of my posts being up on it for a while, including a lot of old ones from around 2021.
The mission statement is based as hell
Tumblr media
This is all a "I support this in general" disclaimer, but I just noticed one of my posts from a few months ago got added, specifically this one, and while I will say it was really meant as more of a personal post, I did tag it and everything and I won't get bent out of shape about it, my main issue is with the description
Tumblr media
My pronouns are he/him and it/its. I understand they/them for if you don't know how someone identifies, but not only are they listed in my bio, but some of my other posts in the archive use he/him in the abstracts, including ones from 2021 before I put he/its in my bio, which say they were edited more recently. I can't help but notice that a lot if not most of the entries of my posts on here use they/them for me, even the ones which say they were added or modified in 2023...? I also checked entries for other folks because I assumed it must be a "use they/them for everyone on principle" thing but most of the other entries are using she or he or respecting neopronouns.
I'm not fast and loose with my gender. I'm a male creature, this does not make me nonbinary. It/its is not a synonym for they/them, and even if it was, I also list he/him as an alternative. Using they/them for me especially given the fact that I'm publicly a binary trans man, feels, idk? I don't want to use the word transphobic but...?
I won't even ask for my posts to be removed, I just straight up do not know who to contact about having been misgendered and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little upset by this.
